French Online is run by AIOU in close collaboration with the Alliance Française (French Cultural Center) and the Embassy of France. At present we offer a basic level course that is called 'French Online Certificate course'. There are 8 modules in this course. After completing the course one can have a daily conversation in French, can introduce himself/herself, can ask questions and reply, can talk about his/her future plans and can talk about his likes and dislikes etc.
Objectives :
The objectives of starting French Online programme at the AIOu is to give opportunities to the people who are interested in learning French but who cannot attend the regular classes. In addition, the programme will help develop the soft image of Pakistan and will help in creating good relationship between French organizations and universities and AIOU.
Future Plans :
Offering advanced level French language courses, Offering Masters programme, creating a dramatic society, arranging seminars and cultural activities are also few of the future plans of the department.
Academic Facilities :
The students enrolled in French Online programme are issued a password that enables them to have an access to the modules availabale on the French Online website. They also receive a work book and a CD in order to do the exercices and practice the grammar, reading and writing skills aftyer studying modules on the net
