New building of Gujranwala Campus inaugurated by Vice Chancellor on 14july,2012. The cremony was attended by a large number of locals including students tutors and reps of the district Government. The Regional Director Dr. M.Mukhtar welcome the guests and appreciated the role of the team of Project Directorate and his staff as well as other line department like Wapda and Suigas. He also thanked the Vice Chancellor for his all out support and interest in the project. The Project Director Engr.Dr. Attaullah Shah highlighted the salient features of the project. He also gave details of the development plan of the University which includes construction of more regional campus builidings. He explained the modular approch being follwed under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor for fast track completion of the regional projects. The Director Regional Services Prof Dr. Siraj appreciated the better team work and support of the Vice Chancellor for the extension and strengthening of the Regional Serivces. The Vice Chancellor gave details of his vision for development and strengthening of AIOU and its services. He informed the audience that due to improvement in the qulaity and serivces of AIOU education system, the students enrolement has been increased particularly in the remote areas. He announced that we are planning to inaugurate one Campus every month. The project director later gave details of the regions likly to be initiated in the next one year.
