Introduction

This department of Arabic is one of the pioneer departments of the university. This department was established in 1974 as an initially part of Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies. Later on this department started its functions as part of the faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies in 1988. The nature of this department is unique and some programmes of Arabic such as ATTC offered only in this department. Matric to PhD level programmes are offered by the department.
The Department of Arabic has been able to revise its courses offered at M.A level with the help of Experts in different disciplines of Arabic similarly ATTC and other courses in the subject are also up-dated accordingly.

Eligibility Criteria

Any one of the following certificates:
i) Fazil Arabic
ii) Intermediate with Arabic as an elective subject
iii) A candidate should pass 309 course code from AIOU with FA. Shahada-tul-Khassa OR)
Shahada-tul-Alia with English from any recognized wafaq/deeni madrassa of HEC.
