AIOU launched Regional Centre in historical city of Bahawalpur in March,1985. The District Lodhran and district Bahawalpur are included in the Bahawalpur Region. At this moment, 8 Tehsils, Ahmad Pur East, Yazman, Khairpur Tamiwali  Hasilpur Bahawalpur Kahror Pakka, Dunya Pur and Lodhran come under Bahawalpur Regional Campus. The campus covers an area of 8 acres, with lush greenery orchards and spacious building. Bahawalpur campus is a shining metaphor for the people of Cholistan in the field of education.  Help desk, library, exam centres, computer lab, Auditorium, E-classrooms, and video conferencing facilities to facilitate the students. As per enrollment for semester spring 2022 is 9398, 468 tutors are associated with regional campus and 14 examination centers are established under RC.
