Dr. Jahan Ara Shams is the Founding In-charge of the Department of Early Childhood Education & Care, where she played a pioneering role in establishing and developing the department. She specializes in Early Childhood Education and Educational Assessment. With her extensive expertise in assessing learning outcomes across various educational levels, she has made significant contributions to strengthening the department's approach to early childhood development and quality education.
Dr. Shams is a Gold Medalist from the University of the Punjab and a top graduate of both the University of Education and the University of Management and Technology (UMT). In recognition of her outstanding academic achievements, she was awarded merit scholarships by these prestigious institutions. She is also a recipient of the Rector's Award in recognition of her academic excellence and professional contributions.
She is an active member of various national and international research forums and professional associations, contributing to scholarly collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of research in education and early childhood development.
Her dedication to advancing education extends well beyond academia. She has conducted numerous national and international training programs on educational assessment, with a particular focus on early childhood education.
