Introduction
Department of Pakistani Languages was established in 1998 to strengthen the learning of Pakistani languages and to empower national integration and linguistic harmony through teaching of Pakistani languages & literature. At the university level this is the first department in the country working for the promotion of Pakistani languages & literature.

Objectives
- To promote National integration and linguistic harmony through teaching of Pakistani languages and literature
- To teach pakistani languages at different academic levels
- To develop study material of pakistani languages and literature
- To facilitate research in pakistani languages & literature
- To develop understanding among teachers about the theoretical and practical implication of pakistani languages
Academic Facilities
Department of Pakistani Languages offers the facility of well-equipped smart class rooms with multimedia and support staff for holding lectures, workshops and viva voce exams both face to face & online.
Future Plans
The Department of Pakistani Languages is planning to introduce certificate courses in different Pakistani languages for foreigners and SSC, HSSC and graduate level courses for Pakistani students in future.
