Introduction
In progressively specialized educational era, it is exigent that 21st century learners in terms of prospective teaching, should upgrade their skills and become proficient in the use of these skills and to effectively facilitate the learning process of their pupils. This program focuses on teaching learning process, learning theories, models, strategies, media, communication delivery models and interactive technologies, with specialization in elementary education.
Objectives of the Program
After the successful completion of the program, the student will be able to:
- Provide prospective teachers with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of educational theories, instructional strategies, and pedagogical skills tailored for diverse secondary education settings, building upon the foundational knowledge acquired during their ADE program.
- Deepen subject-specific knowledge to ensure robust content delivery in Elementary classrooms.
- Train teachers in the effective use of modern educational technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Foster a commitment to ethical teaching practices and continual professional development to adapt to educational advancements.
- Provide real-world experiences through structured teaching practices to bridge theory with practice in actual classroom environments.
Exit after 4 semesters/2 years
Student may opt to exit as per HEC Undergraduate Policy 2023 after successful completion of 4 semesters. The student will get an Associate Degree in Education (Elementary Education).

The existing course(s) will be adopted/adapted as per requirement. The department may change the sequence of the course(s) offering as per availability of course(s).

CLUSTERS
- A cluster is a set of 5 courses having 4 content courses and a pedagogy. These 5 courses must be completed in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th semester according to the scheme of studies.
- A student has to select any two clusters as major areas (M1 & M2) in the 5th semester from the list of clusters given below. The clusters once chosen in the 5th semester as M1 & M2 cannot be changed in the 6th ,7th and 8th semester. Therefore, courses of the same clusters will continue in the 6th ,7th and 8th semester.
- The student after getting Associate Degree in Education (ADE) is ELIGIBLE for having admission in 5th semester of B. Ed 4 years program.

Semesters
Workshop
The workshop for each course will comprise of 12 hours, with 2 hours daily for 6 days except teaching practice and project as per AIOU policy. Each semester will have workshop for the courses offered in that particular semester. It is applicable to all the semesters of this program as per AIOU policy.
