B.Ed (1.5 years) Special Education

Introduction

The existing B.Ed (1.5 years) does not serve the purpose for the discipline of Special Education, so a new program is prepared to give the opportunity to students with 16 years of education to enter into the field of special education as professional teachers. The program covers general education courses in the first semester followed by two semesters for Special education courses. Details of the program are as follows:

SPECIALIZATION:

B. ED 1.5 Special Education programme will be offered in the following seven specialization areas.

1. Hearing Impairment.

2. Visual Impairment

3. Physical and Health Impairment.

4. Intellectually Disability.

5. Learning Disability

6. Autism Spectrum Disorder

7. Inclusive Education
 

Eligibility Criteria

16 years of Education i.e. B.S Hon/MA/MSc/ B.S (4-Year) etc. with 45% marks.

Workshop

The online workshop for each course will comprise of 12 hours, with 2 hours daily for 6 days except for the teaching practice and project as per AIOU policy. Each semester will have a workshop for the courses offered in that particular semester. There will be an online quiz for every course at the end of the workshop.

The teaching practice course will have a face to face workshop.

Assessment Weightage
