Introduction
BS Data Analytics, offered by the Department of Statistics, is an undergraduate programme that blends statistical theory with modern data analysis techniques.
PROGRAM AIMS
- Develop students’ expertise in statistical and machine learning tools for data analysis.
- Equip students with skills in data management, programming, and visualization.
- Teach students to solve real-world problems using analytical tools and statistical reasoning.
- Prepare students for careers in business intelligence, healthcare analytics, financial modelling, and public policy analysis.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
- Collect, preprocess, and manage large datasets using computing languages and statistical software.
- Apply statistical and machine learning models to derive insights from data.
- Design effective data visualizations to communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
- Use data analytics to support decision-making in a variety of fields.
- Work effective in cross-disciplinary terms to address complex problems.
