BS Data Analytics

Introduction

BS Data Analytics, offered by the Department of Statistics, is an undergraduate programme that blends statistical theory with modern data analysis techniques.

PROGRAM AIMS

  • Develop students’ expertise in statistical and machine learning tools for data analysis.
  • Equip students with skills in data management, programming, and visualization.
  • Teach students to solve real-world problems using analytical tools and statistical reasoning.
  • Prepare students for careers in business intelligence, healthcare analytics, financial modelling, and public policy analysis.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

  • Collect, preprocess, and manage large datasets using computing languages and statistical software.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning models to derive insights from data.
  • Design effective data visualizations to communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Use data analytics to support decision-making in a variety of fields.
  • Work effective in cross-disciplinary terms to address complex problems.
