Introduction

The Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Clinical Nutrition (CN) is a comprehensive and advanced academic program designed to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to excel in the field of clinical nutrition. This program bridges the gap between nutrition science and clinical practice, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the role of nutrition in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of various health conditions. A postgraduate diploma in clinical nutrition program can not only prevent and manage disease, but also empower individuals to make informed dietary choices, ultimately improving quality of life and promoting healthier communities.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualification required is 16 years of education with at least 2nd division in the last degree, in the following fields:

  • Human Nutrition and Dietetics 
  • Human Nutrition
  • Food and Nutrition
  • Community Health and Nutrition

ASSIGNMENTS

Each course includes two assignments, which are compulsory for successful completion of the whole program. Each assignment is of 100 marks and students obtaining 50 percent marks will be declared pass.

CLASSES

Online classes will be arranged through Leaning Management System (LMS) on AIOU Aaghi Portal. This will cover all the lectures given by the allocated course coordinator /resource person. At least 70% attendance is compulsory for the students.

FINAL EXAMINATION

At the end of the semester there will be a final examination; all the students will be expected to take this examination in the examination halls at AIOUexamination centers especially established for this purpose
